Alan Turing

1. Give a description of Alan Turing. What were his weaknesses and what was his strength

Alan was gay. And in 1952 it was homosexuality still punishable in the United Kingdom. Turing got accused on the homosexuality law. He got to accept the treatment with estrogen. Alan died of poisoning in 1954, and that was 16 days before he would be 42 y/o.

Alan was a intelligent and a smart person. He got friends after a time because he found out that he needed them. He could think in a act in a special way. He was a genius. But I think he was a way to much in to this machine.  

Five paragraph essay

In this five-paragraph essay, I am going to discuss a topic that are much talked about in media. Small kids have Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and social media like that. They spending most of their time on social media. When I was a small kid, I played with my friends outside and I had not all of these social medias. My goal for this essay is to get the reader thinking about this topic.

When I was young, I have not heard about stress, insomnia or digital addiction. When kids use their time on their phones and on social media they sit day out and day in playing games they can get a digital addiction. To get a digital addiction in a so young age is not good. They can struggle with it the rest of their life.

On the other hand, technology is developing and expanding. It is a big part of our life. It can help us to communicate to other persons. You can send a snap to a person to the other side of the world. People may know a whole more lot about you than you know. You are not aware of how many people that actually see something you publish on the internet. Young kids should certainly be cautious.

However, these kids is not like the kids was when I was a little kid. When you are a small kid, you are going to play outside with other friends. Finally, I want to say that it is a life outside of the internet and go enjoy the real life. Don’t forget to be a kid when you can!

The conclusion of this essay is that it is most negative sites to start with social media in a young age than it is to start later. It can make your life easier and so much fun.   

The movie "Disconnect"

The movie have three distinct story lines.

One of them is about Cindy and Derek that lost their identity and their money. A man stole their money and we follow them in the investigation.

A reporter that helping a 18-year old sex model to come out of the model environment. And Jason and Frye that are skateboard punks who target Ben for an extended online prank in which they pose as a girl with a Facebook crush on Ben.

I Liked the movie! It made me more aware of that this is things that could happened to many people. It is much easier to bully on internet than it is in the real life.
That part that Ben`s father kicked Jason`s father made an impression on me. I would not expect that. 
I dont think there are any familiar elements to me in this movie. I see the message it is sending. People today are too much inside, playing video games or plays on the phone. They forget the world and only staying home. The issues in this film are real, they are happening every day and it scares me that it is so easy to fake a identification on Facebook.

The text are about tecnology,how tecnology can change and how the social media has taken over the world.

I use tecnology and social media every day. I like social medias like Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter. Often I use social media at school and at home.

They are trying to come up with many positive things about tecnology. You can do many different things on the internet. You can watch movies, play games and talk with other people. My opinion is that tecnology is very helpful and genius. New tecnology makes everything so easy! I agree with the opinions and the text.

 Do you think the colonies had good reason to declare Independence? Why?

2. Should one country be able to colonize another? When should a colony be granted Independence?

3. The Bill of Rights guarantees Americans "the right to bear arms". Many Americans still feel this is important for personal safety and in case they need to revolt  against their own government, They argue that the Minutemen and the local militias only won the fight for Independence beacause they had firearms.
What do you think?
Should everyone have the right to bear arms? All kinds of arms?

4. If you were to present your nation's history in the same way as above, which events would you choose? Why?

Yes. I think they had a good reason. They had a good reason to declare independence, because every human being is just as much worth as everybody else.

I don`t think a country should be able to colonize another because in every case this happened the power has been abused.
Today the infrastructure is so good so we don`t need to colonize other countries. In this ages we can talk with each other more easily than before. Back in the time it was harder to travel across countries, and talk to each other so colonies back in the time was very good to have,

I mean that everyone in the US will have the right to bear arms. In the United States it is much more crime. If they have a gun or some weapon they can do robberies. I mean that if a person is threatened by someone, it could have a gun but not a huge gun! Just a small gunner.
A gun can be really dangerous and if it gets in the wrong hand it can kill people.

The plague: The black death came to Norway in 1349, in short time it had killed a third of the population.

Definition of Suceess

“The Definition of Success”

Ralph Waldo Emerson writes this poem. He defines success with small sentences. This poem is about how to get success. All of the small sentences is interrelated.

 The “Defining of Success” have nine points and every point have a meaning. He defines success in a simple list.

The first one, “to laugh much” means that to laugh make everybody happy. I thought this one is the most important. All of the points is important and he ends the poem with “This is to have succeeded.”

I mean that success is earned, and not given. I think if a person have earned success, it gets success. Point number two, “to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children” show that he means to get respect can be one of the things to do to be succeeded.

American Dream

Do people still believe that the American Dream can be achieved?

The fact that you can come from almost nothing, with no means and still can be succeed still stands strong. People still think that hard word profits, and the work will pay off. You can get everything you want if you just believe. More people believe in the dream today. In 2005, there were approximately 32% yes or will so in the nearest future. In 2009, 44% said that they had achieved it, or was going to in future.



How has the definition changed?

The definition has changed because people want to make up their own decision and decide for themselves what they want to be and when. They want to have freedom and opportunities. The Americans think about the future and they want to make it their own. People now appreciate values over material.
